Bawley Bush Retreat at Bawley Point is the perfect coastal location for you to bring your group for a workshop or retreat. We have a beautiful 90sqm timber-floored workspace that is included in our base retreat hire, and extensive lawns that can be used for outdoor activities. All retreat groups have fully included access to our lawns, a commercial kitchen and beautiful cottage accommodation and, of course, full access to all 36 acres of our grounds. The latter includes forests, lawns, bush and lakeside bushwalks and free access to kayaks for use on the laketo paddle to the beach or up creeks. We have a shady camping glade for use by those in your party who might want a more economical experience. Whether you need space for a bodywork, personal development seminar, craft or art workshop or you just need space for another creative or serious purpose then check us out before choosing somewhere else. We are comnpletely secluded so the most private of retreats can be convened here. We are great value at all times and we sincerely believe you will find our workshop-space-with-accommodation combos very hard to beat.
Please note we do not run or organise retreats on our own account or provide a retail booking service for retreat attenders. Our business is the provision of beautiful spaces, accommodation with linen, amenities and grounds for hire by retreat leaders and event organisers for the pleasure and/or education of their own clients. We do what we can to help workshop leaders easily run successful events.
Retreat minimum night stay policy
Our retreat check-in time is 3PM. If you are a leader who wants to hold a retreat that includes a weekend between mid-September to mid-May we have a 3 night minimum-pay policy whether you actually stay for 2 or 3 nights. That allows you to convene a retreat that goes as far past our standard 11am checkout after the second night as you want. For weeknight retreats at any time and for "winter" weekends between mid-May and mid-September our minimum policy is 2 nights.

Our venue has been used by yoga, quilting, writing, music and personal development groups as well as by government, peak industry bodies and businesses for planning and staff development sessions. Ours is a very private retreat environment isolated from neighbours and with no passing traffic except for wildlife. We have all the facilities you would expect in a 4-star-equivalent south coast cottage development: comfortable accommodation, beautiful craftsmanship in construction, timber floors, iconic bush and lake views, plenty of electrical capacity, music players and microphones, overhead projector, wide screen TV with HDMI input, wi-fi, plenty of tables and chairs etc etc. We do not directly provide food for guest groups but our well-equipped caterer's kitchen is ready for your own self-catering or for the caterer of your choice.
