Function providers

For list of local function providers you may wish to engage, see below.

We are a self-catering destination, where guests or event organisers who would rather not physically cater for their function themselves, are welcome to engage external providers of their choice (eg. caterers, photographers, celebrants, florists, waiters, decorators etc) to deliver services to their event.  Though we will charge you a ground access fee for food vehicles and marquees the tariff we quote you will include full access to the property, function room, our own lighted marquee frame and to the Cafe Cottage kitchen, its crockery, cutlery, glassware and equipment for you, your guests and all service providers you engage.  

Below is a contact list of local providers who we accept as being reputable and who have expressed a willingness to be independently approached by our guests. We list mainly those providers who have had experience at our venue and who have had good reviews by our guests. Some may be providers who have not serviced BBR but who we believe will provide a good service. None have paid to be listed on our website and we receive no commissions from them. You are free to select others.  

Provider insurance essential

Note that our insurance does not cover risks associated with any service provided by you to your guests or clients or by any person or firm you engage to deliver services to yourself or others. You should therefore ensure that each provider you engage does have the necessary qualifications or licences and sufficient current liability and workers compensation insurances to cover them in the event of a claim by you, one of your guests or clients or by one of their own staff. If you engage a party that does not hold such insurance then any and all losses or damage arising from the engagement of such providers will be the responsibility of the principal party hiring our venue....you. We are not liable for any claims that might arise as a result of a service provided by you or by a third party to you or your guests.

Alcohol

Please note too that we do not have a Liquor Licence. You are welcome to provide your own alcohol to guests attending your function provided you do not sell it to them. You can buy alcohol locally if you wish from either Termeil Store (ph 02 4457 2552) or Bawley Liquor Barn (02 4457 1311), both sell ice too. Phone through order, tell them it is for a function at BBR and ask for a discount. If you are engaging waiters to serve alcohol it would be wise for you to engage staff who have Responsible Service of Alcohol certification. Most external caterers can provide this service for you. If you do wish to SELL alcohol at a function then that cannot be done unless you have a valid event Liquor Licence....a bureaucratic process that needs to be planned well in advance and needs our consent. In all cases when alcohol is served at a function we will hold liable the party booking the premises for any problems associated with or arising from its consumption by any member of a guest party.
