Camping for self-contained RV's/caravans

Our 7-site beautiful eco-tourist facility has casual unpowered campsite capacity for up to 2 fully self-contained RVs or caravans for up to 2 nights stay at a time but no capacity for tents or campers that are not fully self-contained.. No camper toilets, showers.  On days that have a bushfire rating, Severe, Extreme of Catastrophic no camping at all is permitted on our property.

We have dry-weather track (250m) access, a large private and shady camping area and we allow dogs (tariff), provided they are controlled so as not to chase native animals or annoy other guests.  The camping facilities available consist of 7 grassed, level sites about 6m X 4m (at least 6m apart) for you to choose from, a common laundry,  treated drinking water with hose for filling water-tanks, separate untreated car-washing and fire-dousing water, a fire pit with BBQ capacity and a rubbish removal area.  We charge by the bag for fire-pit firewood. We have limited non-Telstra mobile reception but have free guest Wi-fi in the camping area.  The camping area is unpowered but quiet generators are permitted provided they do not run after 9pm whenever another guest is present.

Waste water: We are not on town water or sewer. We have capacity for the discharge of black water in cassettes only provided the cassette waste has been treated with a septic-safe product, not formaldehyde. We can cope with grey water but if you have a black water holding tank it must have sufficient available storage capacity for your planned stay on arrival. You will have to dump elsewhere. The nearest free public dump point is at the show grounds on Croobyar Road, Milton, half an hour away.

You should be able to check availability via our Book Now button at right but you are welcome to call us. Our campsites will always be unavailable when we have whole-of-property wedding or retreat bookings, that is most weekends. Be aware that the RV area is amongst mature tall gum trees and, like all coastal forests we are on bushfire prone land. Pads are near trees. As limb-fall is a risk you should leave during strong winds. You must leave on days where the fire danger is rated as Severe, Extreme (or higher) or if there is any other owner-communicated threat to safety. Any fees paid in advance will be refunded in such departure circumstances. See Guest Info tab above to access today's fire rating.

Our comparative advantage over a caravan park is privacy, space, isolation, dog-friendliness and free wi-fi.  RV campers are welcome to enjoy the whole 36-acre property and its bushwalks in the same way as our cottage guests...and to borrow our kayaks to paddle on the lake, up the creeks or to the beach.

Our tariffs of $40 per night apply to for up to 2 people per site, we charge $10pn extra for each additional person, $5pn for dogs and $10 per bag for firewood.
