Australia's No.1 Destination for Celebrations

Winter Celebrations, Expos and bush walking – plenty to do @ Bawley Bush Retreat

Pigeon House Mountain

The beautiful Pigeon House Mountain

While winter is our off season – we think that is actually the best time for outdoor exertions that don’t necessarily include getting wet in the sea. It is the best time to go off-road cycling on local fire trails and/or to go on bushwalks up Mt Durrass, Pigeon House or The Castle in the Morton National Park.  It is also a fantastic time to organise major birthday celebrations with invited friends around indoor and/or outdoor fires.

At Bawley Bush Cottages we have aimed to make all these things, and more, possible. Just click HERE to find out more about our winter accommodation specials and options. Or ring Mandy on 02 6100 4743 to talk about how we could satisfy your celebration needs.

Winter is a time when we can give more attention to marketing our business. This year we will be attending local and interstate wedding expos. We will be at the Ulladulla Wedding Fair on July 12 at Ulladulla Ex-Servos, Canberra Wedding Fair on July 24 at the AIS and Batemans Bay Bridal Expo on August 16 at Batemans Bay Soldiers Club.

We are excited to be partnering for the first time with other local providers, Petal Photography and Handcut Catering by Tallwood under the banner of the Bawley Coast Tourism Group. If you know anyone who is planning to get married invite them along.

Firewood for your burning pleasure

Winter is also a great time to catch up with various maintenance jobs too. Right now we are stocking cottages with firewood and cleaning out our wood fire flues ready for our winter guests.

We have finished preparing and sowing our new camping glade. This will be ready for guest use next spring. We are conscious of being the best we can be and have cleaned out our water tanks and filled them with recently fallen fresh water from the sky.
