February is the perfect time to be relaxing at our beaches, the crowds have gone. Think about coming to our beautiful beaches. The 2015 Team Brown Snake Bawley Surf Classic, held in memory of local surfer Lewis McTavish, will be held on Saturday the 7th of February. It is set to attract surfing wannabes from everywhere. Maybe you or someone you know could enter but if you’re not a surfer this is a fun event to watch. At Bawley Bush Retreat we are already fully booked for that weekend but we recommend you consider Interludes Cottages on 4457 1494.
Bawley Bush Retreat is excited to be hosting ‘Summer Songs’, another in our series of occasional concerts in our Cockatoo Function Room on Sunday February 15, 2015. Starting at 3pm with a BYO BBQ from 5pm the concert showcases talented, local and interstate artists, this time with a blues and roots flavor. There will be an opportunity for talented guests to jam with the experts. We are offering our guests the first opportunity to utilise our new off-peak weeknight (Sun-Thurs) “every extra night is cheaper” deals available via our Book Now button and free concert entry.
On the following weekend on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st February the annual Milton Agricultural Show is on. This is a great opportunity to bring your family to see a fair-dinkum Aussie country show run just the way shows used to be. We have plenty of accommodation available that weekend and you can click here to check it out. Just so you know, at the show there’s dressage and show jumping, pavilion based judged craft and more, the best cattle in the land, a pet and dog show, wood-chopping, U Beaut Ute event, Battle of the Bands, poultry, showgirl and junior showgirl, talking dogs, a baby competition, sporting horse events, dog jumping, rides, sideshows and a rodeo that starts at 7pm on Saturday night.
If fine food and wine is your thing then some of the best restaurants on the NSW South Coast are nearby. Bannisters in Mollymook has the wonderful Pool Bar – where you sit overlooking the infinity pool and the Pacific Ocean sipping cocktails. Also in Mollymook is Tallwood, a highly regarded and popular restaurant. Milton has the 1-hatted Cupitts Winery Restaurant and the St Isadore Restaurant. Just 10km down the road from Bawley Bush Retreat is the licensed Merry St Restaurant. They have an good value ethnic-themed food night every Thursday night.
You will already know that Bawley Bush Retreat is a great place to stay but you may not know that we are now a popular choice for weddings and family celebrations, yoga retreats, small conferences and team building seminars focused around our Cockatoo Function Room. So if you know someone who has a major life celebration coming up who might want to celebrate it over a weekend with friends then tell them to check out our place. You could end them THIS LINK. Or perhaps you know someone who leads workshops or seminars who needs an away-destination. This LINK might help them.
